Tolar Tomšič has received several awards for her artistic work and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. She’s a mentor, a lecturer and a regular participant in international conferences, professional committees, and renewal groups specializing in media production. She organizes and runs educational and creative workshops for adults, combining her rich personal expression and contemporary visual practices.

When asked about the exhibition, the artist said:

“This exhibition of watercolor illustrations grows from a dialogue between the poetry of Slovenian women poets and my own intimate poetics. The images are not merely interpretations of literary motifs, but visual responses to inner experiences, memory, and embodied perceptions reshaped through words. The exhibition is personal as well as educational: it opens a space where poetry and image coexist and communicate, enticing the visitor to become a co-participant in the creative process. Each illustration is an invitation to explore one’s own memories, emotions and stories, which transform further in contact with the artwork.”
