This year, the competition received entries from 19 European countries and beyond, making the film’s selection as a finalist an important international recognition of both the film and the story of sculptor Slavko Oblak.
As a finalist, the film will also be presented at the Heritage in Motion Festival, which will take place in Bled on September 29 and 30, 2026. The festival brings together projects that make cultural heritage more accessible to audiences through modern technologies, new storytelling approaches, and innovative methods of interpretation.
The film’s selection as a finalist therefore also represents an important step in bringing the story of Slavko Oblak to an international audience, as well as in presenting a new chapter in the story of the Mrak Homestead, now home to a gallery dedicated to his life and artistic work.
